Gardening gloves review: We tested Bradleys' Floral English Rose Leather and Linen Gardening Gloves

These gardening gloves by Bradleys are handmade in England. Their linen cuffs extend up the arm to protect more exposed skin and they're available to buy in pink, green and blue. They come in small or large sizes.

These gloves performed well in all our gardening tests. They were comfortable and very soft with a warm fleece lining. When picking up damp leaves, digging, or pruning, the gloves offered a very secure grip and the leather flexed well. They protected against thorns and were waterproof, too (excluding the linen cuffs).

Although these gloves had a good fit, they were a bit bulky, and this meant it was tricky to pick up small plants while wearing them. The grip was also affected slightly by water – when wet, the gloves became slippery. We’d have liked to see some more size options available too.

These gloves are robust but still flexible. While great for most tasks, they're better suited to bigger jobs as opposed to delicate work. We'd also recommend them for use in the dryer months.
