It's officially that time of year! Apple's annual keynote event recently took place on Wednesday, Sept. 7, and the tech giant unveiled a handful of new products. The one that most fans were excited to see and get their hands on was the official release of the new iPhone 14 lineup.

Like all of Apple's most recent iPhone launches, this new range features four new devices: the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. For the first time in two cycles, Apple has done away with the Mini model.

Now that the pre-order process has passed, all four devices are available right now for general purchase.

Whether you've already ordered one of these new devices or plan on doing so soon, one non-negotiable accessory is a case — and one that protects your device without any unnecessary bulk is a must-have.

With this in mind, I've listed the nine best cases for the iPhone 14 lineup from brands I use religiously and trust. These brands craft some of the most high-quality cases. They have kept my phone protected for years.

This list includes picks from CASETiFY, Nomad, Mujjo, Otterbox and PopSockets. Take a look at each pick in more detail below to ensure you choose the right case for your needs.

Please note that all nine cases are available for all four iPhone 14 models.

CASETiFY’s new novelty product, the Bounce Case, guarantees you’ll have maximum protection for your new smartphone while boasting a design that’s unique and stylish.

Made from 65% upcycled phone cases through the brand’s ReCASETiFY program, this new case has EcoShock technology that keeps your phone extremely secure and safe from harsh drops and dents. It’s also lightweight and has a lifted camera ring and a raised bezel to protect the screen and lens from scratches and scuffs.

If you frequently use MagSafe charging or plan to with your new iPhone 14 device, this case is MagSafe compatible. It also has an antimicrobial coating and comes in five colors: Triple Black, Clear/Black, Peri Purple, Kiwi and Bubble Gum.

If you want that reinforced protection that CASETiFY offers without the four corner bumps, the brand’s MagSafe Compatible Impact Case is my top recommendation. This is my go-to everyday case and has been for the past few years with my older iPhones.

I’m not very accident-prone, but the few times my phone has fallen, this case has protected it so well that there’s never been a scratch on the device or case — it’s that well made!

The Impact Case also has the same EcoShock technology as the Bounce Case, so rest assured that your phone will remain secure in all situations. It’s extremely lightweight and can withstand some of the harshest and steepest drops.

This case also has a lifted camera ring and raised bezel, and, as its name suggests, is MagSafe compatible.

Nomad is another phone accessories brand I’ve used for years. All of its products — from its wireless chargers to its genuine Horween leather cases — are so well crafted and thoughtfully designed that there is no way you can go wrong with any of them.

Before this new iPhone release, I’ve exclusively used Nomad’s leather cases. After recently testing out the brand’s more affordable Sport Case, I learned I’ve been missing out on a stunner.

This case has a beautiful high gloss, grippy backplate that looks luxe and expensive. Its grippy TPE protective bumper and high-end metal buttons keep the device protected all over, leaving no corners exposed for damage or scratches.

It also has 6-foot drop protection and is MagSafe and wireless charging compatible.

Speaking of Nomad’s leather cases, there’s a reason the brand’s been the authority on genuine Horween leather iPhone cases and accessories for years.

Made of full-grain, sustainably-sourced leather, this case looks expensive and makes your phone the perfect versatile companion with any outfit, no matter how casual or formal. Though the case is quite compact and slim, it offers rugged protection with 10-foot drop protection that comes in handy for those who are accident-prone.

Best of all, the Nomad Modern Leather Case will patina over time and develop a finish unique to you.

Speaking of full-grain leather cases, I recently discovered Mujjo’s case lineup as an extension of my admiration for the high-end bags and accessories brand Troubadour. Earlier this year, Troubadour Goods acquired Mujjo, and these cases have the same luxe feel and construction that Troubadour’s bags are famous for.

The Mujjo Full Leather Case is one of my favorites since it’s so neat and feels super luxurious and lightweight in your hand. This case features a luxe Japanese microfibre lining, and it has a satin-like finish. Like the Nomad Modern Leather Case, the leather acquires a patina unique to your use.

It’s also MagSafe compatible and has machined metal buttons for extra clickiness responsiveness. It comes with a 1-millimeter raised leather bezel that protects the screen from abrasive surfaces, allowing you to place your phone face-down, anxiety-free.

Mujjo also has a Full Leather Wallet Case that has all of the outstanding features of the standard Full Leather Case with an added card pocket on the back that holds two to three bank, ID or travel cards.

What I love most about this wallet case is that, unlike most others, the leather pocket barely adds any bulk to the case — allowing it to perfectly fit into your jeans, shirt or suit pocket without bulging or looking out of place.

PopSocket is known for revolutionizing the pop grip game, but when the brand introduced a full line of cases with built-in, removable grips, they took things to another level.

This PopCase features a standard PopSocket pop grip that slides on or off easily. The case itself also offers 360-degree protection for your new iPhone 14. If you drop your phone on your face often while lying in bed or are just a clumsy person, this may be the case to buy. Choose from three new gorgeous hues: Aura, Opalescent Pink and Opalescent Blue.

Otterbox is one of the leading authorities in smartphone accessories — especially cases — and its new iPhone 14 case lineup is no exception. Cases in the new Figura Series are slim and specifically designed for Apple MagSafe technology.

The ultra-slim profile is perfect for those who don't like bulk but still want to keep their phones protected from every angle. It's made of flexible, soft-touch material with a comfortable grip and raised edges to guard your screen and camera.

The Figura Series case for the iPhone 14 Pro Max is pictured above, but it's also available in different colors for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and the iPhone 14 Pro.

Incipio, one of the leading smartphone case brands in America, has an extensive iPhone 14 series that features over 90 case styles, colors and prices for each model.

The Grip for MagSafe case is one of its best since it's both secure and minimal, allowing you to see the phone's natural beauty while protecting it from every angle. What makes this one special, though, is its grippy bumper which keeps your phone firmly in hand and prevents any slips.

It's also MagSafe-compatible, scratch and discoloration-resistant and was drop-tested from up to 14 feet. If you'd rather have the same grip protection without the MagSafe feature, the Incipio Grip is the perfect pick. Two more of our favorites are the Organicore Clear case and the Duo for iPhone.
